Local and area (within 120km radius) Information

There is not only much to explore and experience in Eyemouth itself, but also many interesting targets within a maximum of 120km radius.

Here are just a few examples:

Berwick Upon Tweed is the last major town in England when travelling to Scotland on the A1. Berwick is only 15km from Eyemouth and is reached in 15 minutes by car or around 20 minutes by public bus. The town hosts many interesting and diverse shops, cafes and restaurants.

Visit the historic town of Alnwick (60km from Eyemouth), where its impressive Castle was extensively featured in the filming of the Harry Potter series.

Bamburgh (45km from Eyemouth) hosts an impressive Castle and a picturesque coastal Championship golf Course.

Lindisfarne island (36km from Eyemouth), with its castle, monastery and mead production and sales, souvenier shops, cafes, etc. Warning: Lindisfarne Island can only be reached or left during low tide (tide timetable is displayed at the entrance to the vehicle causway).

North Berwick (54km from Eyemouth and approximately half-way between Eyemouth and Edinburgh) with a wide beach front, outdoor paddling pool, cafes, restaurants and shops.

Edinburgh (81km from Eyemouth) which is the seat of the scottish parliment and hosts Edinburgh Castle (home to the Edinburgh annual Tattoo) and Hollyrood Castle – a regular residence of the Queen and royal family.

There are of course many smaller borders region towns and villages in closer reach to Eyemouth which have their own attractions and are well worth a visit (for example, St.Abbs and Coldingham). You will also find a pin-board in the accommodation with various other suggested visit locations and events.
